Can I use extended health benefits for my appointments? What are your fees?

While psychological services are not presently covered by O.H.I.P., psychological services are often covered in part or in full by extended health insurance plans. It is recommended that you check the details of your group insurance provider. In particular,  you will want to know if you have coverage for psychological services as well as any limit per session and/or annual limits (e.g., individual limit, couple limit).

Additionally, the cost of non-reimbursed psychological services provided by myself as a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario are considered by the Canada Revenue Agency to be a medical expenses eligible for tax credit and you may be able to claim psychology services that you have received.

My fees are set below the fee schedule recommendations provided by the Ontario Psychological Association and are similar to (or below) typical fees in the GTA West area for psychological services. Please contact me to discuss your particular circumstance and to see if my services may fit within your extended benefits plan as well as intended investment in therapy services.

What form of payment is accepted?

In-office appointments as payable by Debit, cash, cheque, and Visa/MasterCard. Videoconferencing appointments are payable by banking e-transfer. Upon payment at the end of each session, I provide you with a receipt that may be submitted to your extended health benefits insurer for coverage, if applicable.

What is your cancellation policy?

At least 48 hours' notice is required for a cancelled, rescheduled, or missed appointment if you wish to avoid a missed session fee (full fee for time booked). Your scheduled appointment time is exclusively yours and I cannot offer it to someone else in need if I'm not given sufficient notice.

Free 15-minute phone consultation is available. We can discuss what is going on for you and any questions you may have about my service.
