Fees, Insurance and Policies
Can I use extended health benefits for my appointments? What are your fees?
While psychology services are not presently covered by O.H.I.P., psychology services are covered in full or part by most extended health insurance plans. It is recommended that you check the details of your group insurance provider. In particular, you will want to know if you have coverage for psychology services as well as any limit per session and/or annual limits (e.g., individual limit, couple limit).
Additionally, the cost of non-reimbursed psychological services provided by myself as a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario are considered by the Canada Revenue Agency to be a medical expenses eligible for tax credit and you may be able to claim psychology services that you have received.
My fees are set with consideration of the guidelines provided by the Ontario Psychological Association and are similar to typical fees in this area for psychological services. Please contact me for more specific fee information.
What form of payment is accepted?
Debit, cash, and cheque are accepted. Upon payment at the end of each session, I provide you with a receipt that may be submitted to your extended health benefits insurer for coverage, if applicable.
What is your cancellation policy?
At least 48 hours' notice (business hours) are required for a cancelled, rescheduled, or missed appointment if you wish to avoid a missed session fee (full fee for time booked). Your scheduled appointment time is exclusively yours and I cannot offer it to someone else in need if I'm not given sufficient notice.
